Mediation Fees

Mr. Pearl charges $17,500 for class, PAGA, collective, and multi-plaintiff cases and $12,500 for individual cases. This includes up to two hours of preparation time, up to eight hours of mediation time, and administration costs. Fees for additional time will be charged at $1,500 per hour. Fees for “unused” time will not be refunded. Mr. Pearl reserves the right to charge additional fees for cases involving multiple separately represented parties and particularly complex issues.

Please do not reserve a mediation date unless you are sure that you will go forward. Counsel, not their clients, contract for the mediator’s services and are responsible for paying all fees. Due to an increase in the number of cancellations and continuances, our policies have changed. Please note:

  • Mediation fees are due in full upon booking and must be received no later than 45 days before mediation. We reserve the right to take matters off calendar if fees are not paid timely.
  • Fees include a non-refundable administrative fee of $500 per separately represented party. In the event of cancellation or continuance, this fee will not be refunded.
  • Cancellations or continuances 45 days or less prior to mediation will result in forfeiture of the entire mediation fee, unless we can fill the date with another matter.
  • Matters may be continued only once. If the parties have already continued a matter once, any cancellation or second continuance will result in forfeiture of the entire mediation fee, unless we can fill the date with another matter.

If paying by check, please make your check payable to “Steve Pearl Mediation,” include the case name on the check, and mail it to:

  • Steve Pearl
  • Steve Pearl Mediation P.C.
  • 18960 Ventura Blvd., # 453
  • Tarzana, CA 91356

Fees paid seven days or less prior to mediation must be paid by LawPay. The mediation fee may be paid by check, credit card (a 3% non-refundable credit card processing fee applies) or ACH bank transfer via LawPay. Please call Mr. Pearl's case manager for details.

Mr. Pearl is available for mediation via video conference or in person in the greater Los Angeles area. In-person mediations take place at a location provided by counsel, which must include adequate conference room space for all parties and the mediator.
